Manufactured in 1856 this late third model variation has the small brass trigger guard retaining some of it original silver plating. The revolver is in good condition with all matching serial numbers excluding the wedge. The standard 7½ in barrel has a clear address and a good bore, the cylinder shows a very clear scene and retains all of its safety pins. The well figured walnut grip is in excellent condition and fits well to the revolver, the action and cylinder lockup are very good. This is a very good example of a hard to find 3rd model Navy revolver.
